Time for G'night.

Tonight's painting is "We Are Not Alone" by Alison Friend and you will find it in Prince Pan Pan's Royal Art Gallery "Gallery Additions - September 12, 2014.

We want to talk to you about your pets. How many do you have? Dog? Cats? Rabbits? Or something else? Animal add lots of things to your life. They add humor and love and it is a scientific fact that having a pet cat is good for your health, they help lower your blood pressure. The gentle purring of a cat, the joy a dog shows when you come home, the bunny that loves to be petted. There is a special bond between humans and their pets, or at least there should be. True pet parents understand that what comes with the cuteness, joy and love is responsibility. True pet parents are prepared to do the necessary things for that joy and love. Pets require care, cleaning, feeding and vetting. There is cost to having a pet, but true pet parents accept that. Sometimes pet parents have to make hard decisions concerning their pets care, sometimes they have to help their pet cross over the rainbow bridge, sometimes it is because the pet is hurt or sick. And sometimes the cost of care is high, if the pet is chronically ill, it can be heartbreaking if you don't have the money to help a seriously ill pet and have to have it put to sleep because of that. Don't judge someone that does that, you don't know how hard that decision is, you don't know what that person is going through, emotionally or financially. You can help them by keeping them in your prayers and helping with the costs if you can. But always pray and offer comfort.
So for all you non-pet parents out there that are considering getting a pet, think about it, really think about it. If all you want is the fun and none of the responsibly, go to a petting zoo. Because if you don't want the responsibility of having a pet, chances are you will either take it to a shelter or abandon it to the streets to fend for its self or to be dependent on the kindness of strangers. Pets are not toys, please remember that.

We pray now:

Dear Heavenly Father, please look after our family, friends and even strangers, human and animal, please provide guidance and wisdom daily and please give comfort, strength and courage when needed.
Please help the homeless, human and animal, help them find safe and loving homes, help them find family.
Please help those that are lost or missing, help them find their way home, their families love and miss them so very much. And please keep them safe until they are reunited.
Please help those suffering illness, and loss, there are so many, too many to name here, but you know who they are. Please comfort and strengthen them and their families. They need you.
Please help those suffering in other ways, financial, emotional and mentally. They all need you in this time, so please comfort and strengthen them too.
Thank you Father for the compassionate humans that strive to make a difference, and they do make a difference, they really do. Bless them for their efforts.
Thank you for the men and women in uniform, be they military or police. They risk their lives daily and rarely a "Thank you" do they get. Thank you too for the firemen that are fighting the wildfires in the western states. They are risking their lives to protect the homes of humans and animals. Please keep them safe.
Thank you for those we love and that love us back and thank you for everything we have, because so many have lost so much, we know we are blessed.
With gentleness, Father, please teach us humility, patience, compassion, understanding and tolerance. Please help us to be less judgmental too, help us to remember that no one is perfect.
Please forgive us when we offend and help us to be more forgiving to others that offend us.
And finally, please Father, more true love, the love that never fails, the love that brings goodness and beauty into existence, the love that heals the spirit. AMEN.

Off to bed now, we hope that you sleep soundly and dream sweetly, then when you wake, remember to stretch like a cat and start your day with a smile. Smile a lot, be happy and share that happiness. Spread happiness wherever you go.

Praying for you always.

Love you bunches,

Tippi & Ruger & Mom

People don't have to play with their toys every day. With some cats, our people do have to play with their cats every day. Or we'll wake them at 2 in the morning to ask why they didn't.

Some humans just don't get it. And those are the humans that shouldn't have pets or children.

We pets are loyal to our families and we give unconditional love to our humans. Cats' purrs are very healing and soothing and we cats bring much joy, companionship and entertainment to our humans when we cuddle with them and play. Many of us also love to hear our humans' voices when they talk to us and read to us. All these things teach us to share (both pets and humans) and be loving and kind. We all need to work to be the best, most loving pets and humans that we possibly can.

How someone treats a pet says a lot about how they treat other humans.

If you don't treat pets like family, it you don't treat them with love and compassion, that is telling about how you are as a human in general.

Mom says she has no tolerance for people that are mean or cruel to others, animal or human.
