We just want to say that Mom is tired of politics already and we be a politics free zone. We may consider making fun of politics, maybe we will nominate one of our kitty friends to run for President. A cat President, that would be great.

Some say that the word politics comes from poly- meaning "many" and tics, meaning "blood-sucking parasites".
I have considered asking the presidential campaigns their views on important kitty issues, such as TNR, no-kill, declawing, and what pets they have. These might not be the most important issues for human voters, but all else being equal, wouldn't we rather have a cat person in the White House?
