Certification

Is the clinic or its staff certified? If they are, in what -- American Association of Feline Practitioners? Low-Stress handling? Cat behavioral certification? American Animal Hospitals Association? Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association? If they are not, is there a good reason? Maybe they are only missing part of what they need, like a cat-only waiting room, and the cost of expanding is prohibitive. Maybe the clinic meets all the requirements except having a certified specialist on staff. Maybe they just don't have time for another association.

We are assuming here that they have the appropriate degrees and licenses to run a veterinary practice.
